My husband and I loved our stay at the XV Beacon. Our room on the 9th floor was very spacious and, since it was on a corner of the building, had two windows both of which opened a few inches to the outside. Even in July we prefer to sleep with the windows open rather than with air conditioning. The hotel was very quiet with minimal street noise. The bathroom had a good amount of hangers for our toiletry bags, convenient plugs, and super-thick towels. One aspect of the room to note: if you prefer not to have your room serviced, there's a switch next to the bathroom to turn, which illuminates a red light outside your room, thus alerting hotel staff you do not wish to be disturbed. There is no card to hang outside your room to communicate that wish. We ate one breakfast in the restaurant, Moo, and enjoyed it. My order of rye toast came out nice and warm, which is unusual in any restaurant. The bacon my husband ordered was delicious, although, if you want it fried crispy, best to ask for that. Shout out to bellman Owen for managing our bags at check-in and to concierge David for pointing us to nice dinner options whilst we were there. All-in-all, the XV Beacon made our visit to Boston super-enjoyable. If we return to the city, we'd definitely choose the XV Beacon as the place to hang our hats.

What an exquisite hotel! We got a suite and it was so nicely decorated. The staff was so nice. The hotel made it so special for us to celebrate our anniversary. The location was perfect for walking. The hotel pays attention to details, even leaving out paperclips on the desk! The softest pillows and sheets. The hotel did things to the room to make our anniversary so special. The only thing that I think they could improve on is the bathroom towels. They are nicely monogrammed but not so soft! They are rough towels!

Recently spent 3 nights at XV Beacon. This is a lovely property with superb service and incredible staff who know the meaning of hospitality. Special thanks to Myriam, Carlos and Patrick for helping make our stay memorable and dealing with minor issues that came up. The location on Boston Common could not be more perfect and the restaurant Mooo has outstanding food. Ivan dropped us off at P town ferry in the house Audi capping the perfect end to our visit.

This is a very very nice high end hotel. Tasteful and solid design and furnishings, super comfortable and high end pillows, duvets, beds. High ceilings and spacious feel. Hotel is very solid and quiet--and I am particularly sensitive to noise and often have trouble sleeping. Very nice location in Beacon Hill, small boutique feel. A+ for housekeeping--I will find the flaw or dirt if it's there, and this housekeeping is top notch, it feels crisp and clean. BIG THANK YOU to Daniel and MIRIAM -- thank you for taking care of my high-maintenance requests (fan was perfect :-)) and being warm, responsive, and easy to talk to.
